STUDENT QUOTES
Salma Lotfy joined WSO in Year 6, transferring from her previous school due to bullying, going on to become Valedictorian. In her Valedictory speech she spoke of how the school helped her to come out of her shell and really believe in herself.
“I got an A* in Economics, A in Math, and A* in Business. Hopefully, I’ll be studying at King’s College London, Economics and Management. The exams process has been difficult just because I haven’t been examined before, since GCSE’s were canceled, but it was a good experience overall. The school has supported us throughout every step too and my teachers really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I’m currently looking forward to seeing where life will take me, but hopefully, I’ll make a positive impact in the future. I’m still not sure what I will become in the future, but maybe an economist.”

OTHER SUCCESS STORIES
Jannah Elkabbany
I studied media production, and I basically worked on five major media products and I produced them all. I mostly focused on intertwining my media products with animation as much as I could because I wanted to be able to show my work to my university. I also did a side of IB art as well so that I could build my portfolio. Today I received my results, I got a triple Distinction Star and I got a six in IB Art. I’ll be going to the University of Hertford next year. I'm doing 3D animation and visual effects. I want to work in one of the big corporations like Disney, Pixar, that make movies. I would like to say thank you to all my teachers and definitely my parents. My mom stayed up with me during all-nighters because she didn't want me to be alone working so she would bring me tea and check on me.

HEAD OF SECONDARY QUOTE
Matthew James, Assistant Principal, WSO
We are over the moon this year. This is the first cohort to go through A level exams with us, and we've also had the IB results this year. Today we have BTech as well as our A-Levels, and our students have pretty much smashed it. We pride ourselves on trying to get our students world class, world-ready, so hopefully, they're going to go out into the world now and actually be that.
