Dubai, 5 April 2022: Free Fire Arab League Season 4 champions MCES Africa from Morocco overcame stern competition from the best teams in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to win the fifth edition of the Free Fire Arab League.

In the Grand Final stage which saw the 12 qualified teams from across the MENA region go head-to-head, MCES Africa rose to the occasion to get their hands on the winning trophy.

As well as winning a share of the USD $60,000 prize money, MCES Africa also qualified directly to the Free Fire World Series Final Stage while the runner up All Stars Esports  will play in the Free Fire World Series Play-ins, with both representing the MENA region in the international competition in May.

All Stars Esports team, and All Star team whose players come from across different countries from the MENA region including Syria, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, and Morocco, finished second and third place respectively in the Grand Final.

He said: “Full credit goes to Garena for organizing what has been a wonderful tournament that was well planned and this allowed all the players to focus on showcasing their skills and giving their best. As always, there are no easy games in the Free Fire Arab League and we really had to be top of our game. We can’t wait for the Free Fire World Series next month and we are determined to put on a good show while representing the MENA region in this prestigious global event.”

Mohamed Ghazi, captain of runners-up All Stars Esports, said: “Before we started the tournament our goal was to win and qualify directly. Although we didn’t achieve that, we are pleased to advance to the play-ins and be part of the Free Fire World Series. It’s going to be a tough competition but it’s an opportunity that we are very much relishing.”

Saadallah Djamel, better known as Canibal, captain of 3rd place All Stars, said: “We came so close to winning but losing is part of the game. While we are disappointed, we are proud of our efforts and this experience will make us stronger. Hopefully we can go one step further next time.”

The next edition of the Free Fire Arab League will take place between August and October with the participation of 24 teams - the top 12 teams from Season 5.

The other 12 teams from qualifying season, The top 12 teams from the Free Fire Arab Championship S3 and the bottom 12 teams from Free Fire Arab League Season 5 Teams will have to perform at their very best in 5 matches to accumulate enough points to get a position in the Free Fire Arab League Season 6.
