Dubai, November 3, 2014 - With the recent unveiling of Android version 5.0 - Lollipop - from Google, Sony Mobile is proud to announce that it will be making Lollipop available for the entire premium Z Series¹. Sony Mobile’s Android “L” upgrade will be available on the current flagship Xperia Z3 core smartphones and the Xperia Z2 series at the beginning of 2015. The full range of smartphones receiving the Android “L” upgrade will follow on the rest of the Z series of smartphones, which include; Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact. Sony has been working hard to bring this major update to the entire Xperia Z series of devices as early as possible in order to enhance user experience and feature functionality. ¹Software rollouts are a phased process - timings & availability will vary by market/operator.
