Hardware and software exports to Italy to increase substantially

Mr Kamal Vachani, Hon. Regional Director of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) hosted a luncheon meeting to bid farewell to H.E. Mr Giorgio Starace, Ambassador of Italy to the UAE.  

During the luncheon meeting, H.E. Mr Giorgio Starace appreciated the efforts taken by the Regional Representation of the ESC, headed by Mr Kamal Vachani in promoting Hardware and Software exports to the Middle East, Europe and UAE.  Mr Kamal Vachani informed that the Hardware exports from India to Italy is estimated  to the tune of US$ 78 million and Software exports is estimated US$ 167 million during the year 2013-14.  Mr Kamal Vachani further added that a number of Indian companies are looking in a big way in exporting Hardware, Software and IT Services/Solutions business in Italy.

Mr D.K. Sareen, Executive Director of ESC appreciated the efforts taken by H.E. Ambassador of Italy to support the Regional Representation headed by Mr Kamal Vachani and wished the Ambassador all the best in his new endeavor.

Mr Kamal Vachani is also Group Director of Al Maya Group.  Al Maya Group imports a large number of FMCG products from Italy.  We are constantly looking for enhancing our portfolio from Italy, Vachani added.   Al Maya Group has more than 40 supermarkets in the GCC.
