Making Home Entertainment Eco-conscious With LG

With Eco-friendly features, LG's OLED TV is the Perfect Choice for Customers and the Environment

DUBAI, September 29, 2022 – There’s always ways to live a more sustainable lifestyle and ensuring we have a greener future, even when it comes to entertainment. In line with its commitment to protecting the planet and delivering a better life for all, LG Electronics (LG) offers LG OLED TVs with eco-friendly features to provide maximum user convenience at minimal cost to the Earth.

Eco-Friendly Lifecycle
Designed to be kinder to the environment from production to disposal, LG OLED TV minimizes its environmental impact at every stage of its lifecycle. Delivering the best results for both you and the environment, LG OLED TVs provide the outstanding viewing experience while using a smaller number of components and offering greater recyclability than their LCD counterparts. The LG’s displays are predominantly made of metal casing and contain recycled plastics only where it is most needed, without harmful substances such as CD and InP. Additionally, LG OLED TVs do not require backlighting like LCD TVs, reducing their impact on the planet.

Packed for the Planet
Being thoughtful of every aspect of the product lifecycle, LG OLED TVs are packed in recyclable cardboard boxes and place the remote control in a special bag made of bio-based materials. All materials used to manufacture LG OLED TVs are carefully selected for their environmental credentials. Additionally, LG OLED TVs now weigh 45% less* thanks to light, composite fibers, resulting in fewer carbon emissions during transportation and easier recycling. When it is time to part with your TV, the high recycling efficiency results in minimal emissions during disposal, making LG OLED TVs especially eco-friendly.

Recognition of Eco-Consciousness
LG OLED TVs are certified as eco-friendly by a number of international organizations. One of the world’s foremost providers of testing, inspection and certification services, Société Générale de Surveillance SA (SGS) recognized LG OLED TV as an Eco-Product for resource efficiency and not using hazardous materials. LG OLED TVs also received the Carbon Trust’s product carbon footprint label for reducing carbon emissions throughout the entire product lifecycle. Moreover, they also achieved validation to the UL 2809 Environmental Claim Validation Procedure (ECVP) for Recycled Content Standard from UL, confirming that LG OLED TVs are indeed as environmentally responsible as advertised.
