Dubai, UAE, February 15, 2018:   A new network of over 200 state-of-the-art charging points has been established by GreenParking to power electric vehicles across UAE and Oman.

The GreenParking Network of EV Charging stations allows electrical car owners to travel through the Emirates and cross-border all the way to Muscat with few recharging stops, GreenParking expects to substantially increase the number of EV charging stations in UAE and Oman within the coming months.

“Electric vehicles are the future of transport and they will soon be a common sight on the UAE’s roads. We are delighted to be helping to lay the foundations for a revolution in transport in the Middle East” said Mr. Sam Alawiye, CEO GreenParking.

The creation of this EV Network is being made possible through innovative collaborations with hotels and resorts. The new charging stations have been set up at key locations in the UAE and Oman, including Danat Al Ain Resort, the only charging point between Abu Dhabi and Sohar.

“We are very excited that we are the first Hotel in Al Ain to have an EV charging station which will be an added facility for our beautiful Resort. For those who are coming with an Electric Car to Al Ain, now they have a venue to enjoy a nice weekend or a nice meal while the cars are getting charged free of cost.” said Mr. Ahmed Margoushy, Danat Al Ain Resort General Manager.

By establishing a new, extended network of charging stations across two countries GreenParking is demonstrating that electric cars cars are not just environmentally friendly options for the future, they are real options for car buyers today.

GreenParking also provides EV charging card for free “we will be giving out EV charging cards for free to all UAE and Oman residents with electric cars, throughout this year until 2019” added Mr. Sam Alawiye, CEO GreenParking.

The new stations have been officially opened in Abu Dhabi, Fujairah, Al Ain, Sohar and Muscat in January 2018.
