Ajman E-Government - Executive Council and Ajman University of Science and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding which aims at strengthening the cooperation between the local communities and institution. Dr. Khalid Al Khaja, Acting Chancellor, Ajman University and Ms. Uhood Ali Shuhail, Executive Director E- Government in the Emirates of Ajman signed the agreement. Ms. Uhood Al Shuhail expressed that the e- government’s strategy is based on the far sighted vision of Government of Ajman which in turn leads up to the strategic vision for “Ajman 2021”. Transforming Ajman into a smart city in accordance with the standards and specification, that wise vision of the leadership of the Emirates has set the precedent for. She added, that this agreement furthers the cooperation between e-government and educational institutions in the emirates, stressing that integration of the young energies and innovative ideas will be an investment in the development of services at the government of Ajman and encouraging a digital generation which is equipped with a special vision. For his part, Dr. Khalid Al Khaja said the cooperation agreement signed would contribute to strengthening the role of the university by facilitating training opportunities for students in government institutions in the Emirates and the development of their practical skills. Recently, the students presented their best projects and researches, which were both innovative and inspiring this agreement will ensure student’s projects, will have an ideal platform. The agreement includes various avenues that will benefit the students and both the entities. Along with opportunities for students to experience field training during events, activities and researches the cooperation will also act as a catalyst for activation of joint researches, events and activities. The focal point of the agreement is to serve the community and the Emirates of Ajman by providing smart solutions and services to the community at large.
