UAE, February 03, 2016- The General Secretariat of the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC) has honoured the Dubai Smart Government (DSG) for its excellent support and cooperation in the implementation and operation of the Government Resource Planning System (GRPS) project and the Smart Employee service. H.E. Ahmad Bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the SLC, presented an honorary shield to Huda Al Hashimi, Director of DSG’s GRP Department, commending the team’s utmost commitment to the highest standards of efficiency and professionalism in achieving the mutual aspirations of promoting Government integration driving the smart transformation in Dubai. Attending at the honouring ceremony were senior officials and managers from the SLC General Secretariat, foremost among whom was the Legal Advisor, Mr. Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Assistant Secretary General.

Bin Meshar extended his appreciation to the ongoing efforts and excellent support by the GRP team at DSG, which has had a pivotal role in the successful application of the GRP system and the Smart Employee service. Bin Meshar underlined the SLC General Secretariat’s commitment to enhancing the concept of partnership and integration with other Dubai Government entities in order to improve government performance in line with the wise directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

“We are pleased with the success of our efforts in adopting the GRP system which are of a strategic importance to government integration and a great addition to the efforts aimed at the effective human resources and financial management to ensure the provision of high-tech interrelated services, on a par with the objectives of Dubai Plan 2021 to establish a proactive and leading government that can address the various needs of every individual and of the society at large. The successful management of the GRP system at the DSG would not have been possible without the utmost dedication and hard work of our team members at the SLC General Secretariat, who are our real wealth and in whom we  take pride”, Bin Meshar added.

“This initiative is a result of the fruitful strategic partnership we have with DSG and reflects our dedication to strengthening cooperation in adopting the latest advanced technologies and launching integrated smart services which support the move towards smart transformation in Dubai. We are committed to adopting international best practices and latest the smart technologies, in line with our ambitious strategy which primarily focuses on promoting creativity and innovation in the legislative field and raising the bar for the legal and legislative system in Dubai to meet the requirements of Dubai’s sustainable and comprehensive development plans”, Bin Meshar concluded.

During the ceremony, team members from the DSG including Hamza Al Hamarna, Mohammed Mahmoud Kirat, Bilal Mikdadi, Sari Suleiman Al Balbasi, Eid Al Sabbagh, Mohammed Mahmoud Al Ghitani, Shadi Diab, Afdal Kohani, Afra Al Shehi and Carla Zaarour received certificates of appreciation. Team members from SLC General Secretariat, which comprised Moza Naghmash Al Mansouri, Mariam Omar Al Huraiz, Maged El Sayed Mohammed Kassem, Rashed Mohammed Essa, and Fatima Abdullah Al Molla, also received appreciation certificates for their contribution to the project.
