Dubai, UAE, May 14, 2015 - FM EXPO, the largest facilities management (FM) exhibition in the Middle East, will kick off on Monday, May 18 and will run until May 20, 2015 at the Dubai World Trade Centre to throw the spotlight on the most comprehensive range of FM solutions through its free-to-attend educational events. The event will host the annual World FM Congress and Innovation Zone for professionals to gain insights on the latest industry trends, challenges and best practices. The World FM Congress will be held on May 18 and 19, 2015 under the theme ‘Advancing Innovation, Sustainability and the Role of FM to Improve Efficiency and Performance in the Built Environment,’ while the CPD certified workshops at the Innovation Zone will be held on all three days. Mick Dalton, Director FM, Meraas will deliver the opening note, while the welcome address will be given by Ali Al Suwaidi, Middle East Facility Management Association (MEFMA) Board Member and Executive Director of Ejadah Asset Management Company. Elie Matar, Head of Electricity, Dubai Regulatory & Supervisory Bureau, will present the keynote speech on ‘New Energy Efficiency Regulations and Implications for FM Sector.’ The World FM Congress topics include ‘Balancing Innovation, Sustainability & Operational Efficiency to Deliver Real Value for Money in FM Sector,’ ‘Delivering Latest Business Intelligence for FM Sector,’ ‘Role of FM in Driving the Sustainability Agenda,’ and ‘How Can FM Industry Better Serve Clients.’ Some of the topics for the Innovation Zone are ‘FM Market: Overview and Trends in the GCC,’ ‘The Internet of Things: Making Smart Cities a Reality,’ ‘Developing Grassroots Technology Strategies,’ ‘Sustainable Waste Management Strategies,’ ‘Energy Optimisation in Existing Buildings,’ and ‘Assessing Leadership Capability and Performance.’ Jaafar Shubber, Senior Project Manager, FM EXPO, said: “Facilities Management has emerged as a specialty sub-sector in the Middle East that provides strong support to the real estate, construction hospitality, healthcare and aviation sectors.
