Topics that will be discussed include: governments plans for developing a technology-based knowledge economy and new opportunities these present for private industry; outcomes and further plans for Emiratisation and Saudisation policies; educational frameworks in the region and how these can be improved to provide more qualified graduates equipped for today’s - and tomorrow’s - job requirements; and advancing women’s position in the business world.

“The key position of women and their role in the workforce is clearly evident from the recent move by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, of creating the Gender Balance Council. Women in the UAE are already treated fairly equally in the business arena, and lag slightly behind in the social arena, but there are government institutions at work to bring this at par with the business world. The newly-formed Gender Balance Council under the leadership of Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed will certainly take this further, and dismantle the remaining barriers between genders, empower women and enhance their role in the national workforce.” said Her Excellency Salma Ali Saif bin Hareb, Chief Executive Officer of Economic Zones World and Jafza, and one of the panellists at the summit.

The summit will provide a unique opportunity for major stakeholders from public and private sector to share experiences and productive discourse, aim to consolidate best practice, and put forward recommendations for meeting the region’s ambitious goals.

Future of Work: Middle East is open for registration to senior level decision makers, public sector and academia representatives. Over 150 attendees are already confirmed.

The summit is sponsored by GE, with EY as exhibiting sponsor. Bayt.com is one of the supporting organisations.
