Modena, July 9, 2026 – Against the backdrop of the English countryside in West Sussex, the curtain rises on the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed 2026, one of the world's most anticipated events for automotive enthusiasts. Maserati has chosen this setting for the public debut of the New GranTurismo, New GranCabrio, and New Grecale, which have been strategically updated to strengthen the Brand's positioning.

The models on display, all in the Trofeo version, feature liveries from the Fuoriserie Program: the New Grecale is finished in Orange Devil, the New GranCabrio in Blu Emozione, and the New GranTurismo in matte Green Jupiter.

Also making its world premiere today is the Maserati Project GT4, the track car developed on the New GranTurismo architecture. The new model completes the Trident's vision for the future of GT racing alongside the GT2, which has enjoyed success in closed-wheel competition over the past two years. With this project, the brand consolidates its presence in the contemporary GT landscape by turning its attention to the rapidly growing GT4 category, demonstrating how racing continues to drive Maserati innovation.

Lastly, the Maserati MCPURA Cielo, GT2 Stradale, and MCXtrema supercars will also take part in the Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking center stage in the Supercar Paddock and on the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb—a course as captivating as it is challenging. With an elevation gain of nearly 100 meters, it puts even the most experienced drivers to the test. Furthermore, starting on Friday, the MCXtrema will also have the opportunity to compete in the Timed Shootout, the event's most prestigious and spectacular competition.

Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo and Maserati CEO, states: "In an especially significant year, as we celebrate 100 years of the Trident logo and 100 years of Maserati in racing, the Goodwood Festival of Speed provides the ideal stage to mark these important milestones and share Maserati's vision and values with customers, enthusiasts, and stakeholders. We are proud to bring the spirit of Italian Gran Turismo to Goodwood. The New GranTurismo, New GranCabrio, and New Grecale further strengthen our ability to combine comfort and performance, while Project GT4 underscores the strategic role of Maserati Corse as the Brand's laboratory for innovation and technological development. All of this begins in Italy, in Modena—the beating heart of Maserati—where tradition, engineering expertise, design, and passion continue to shape our cars. This achievement has been made possible by the dedication of the people at Maserati, the contribution of our partners, and the strength of our global dealer network, which shares the responsibility of representing and promoting the Trident every day."

Public debut of the Trident’s new range

The latest styling update completes a journey that began at the Maserati Centro Stile with the MCXtrema, the track car that allowed Maserati designers to experiment with a more horizontal, sharper, and more aggressive front end. This design language was brought to the road with the GT2 Stradale, refined with the MCPURA, and now applied to the iconic GranTurismo and GranCabrio, as well as the D-SUV Grecale. In particular, the New GranTurismo and New GranCabrio now feature refreshed exteriors and even more refined interiors. The 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno engine delivers up to 590 PS, a top speed of more than 320 km/h (GranTurismo Trofeo), and 650 Nm of torque, along with an unprecedented sound experience thanks to the sports exhaust, which comes standard on the Trofeo version. All versions also come standard with all-wheel drive and height-adjustable air suspension, offering a comfortable and secure driving experience for four occupants—proof that these cars are built to thrill, every day. The same pre-chamber technology that distinguishes the MCPURA is also featured on these models, complemented by four full-size seats that reinforce their grand touring credentials, delivering sportiness and comfort on demand at the highest level. Meanwhile, the New Grecale stands as the Brand's most complete luxury SUV, combining the spaciousness of a vehicle from the segment above with a more distinctive sporting character and uncompromising everyday usability. Inside, authentic materials and refined comfort are paired with superior handling, ensured by versatile driving modes tailored to every style. At the heart of the technical package is the V6 Turbo engine, boasting the highest specific output in its class, along with an unmistakable sound and Formula 1-derived technology.

Project GT4 world premiere

Developed in Modena, in the heart of the Motor Valley, Maserati Project GT4 embodies the principle that has always guided the Trident's philosophy: the continuous connection between track and road—and vice versa—through a constant exchange of technology.

Moreover, Maserati Corse is the Brand's innovation laboratory, and Project GT4 is its latest expression, with its engine and body derived directly from the New GranTurismo. This close connection to the production model, required by GT4 regulations, also helps keep operating and maintenance costs under control.Designed to enter one of the most dynamic international GT categories, the car leverages the experience gained with Maserati GT2 and was created with a specific objective: to get back on the track in 2028 with a competitive project to aspire to victory.

The new project is powered by the 3.0-liter V6 Nettuno engine with Formula 1-derived pre-chamber combustion technology, which has already demonstrated its versatility, robustness, and development potential on the track, exceeding 700 hp in specific configurations. The powertrain is complemented by rear-wheel drive, GT Trofeo-derived suspension with adjustable dampers and anti-roll bars, and a weight reduction of approximately 400 kg compared with the road-going model.

In addition, the cockpit retains the GT dashboard's distinctive elements, along with the roll cage, homologated seat and fuel tank, a dedicated braking system with bespoke cooling, and 18-inch alloy wheels compliant with GT4 regulations. Project GT4 also benefits from all the experience gained with the GT2 Stradale and draws directly on the expertise of Maserati Corse and chief test driver Andrea Bertolini.

Also making its debut at Goodwood is the special "100 Trident" livery, a tribute to the centenary of the Trident logo. It features a large Trident graphic running from the roof to the tail, one hundred small tone-on-tone blue Tridents, a white front band recalling some of the most iconic racing cars of the past, and blue and yellow colors that reference the city of Modena, underlining that the car is entirely designed, developed, and assembled in Italy’s Motor Valley.

Maserati supercars light up the Supercar Paddock and Goodwood Hillclimb

In the Supercar Paddock, visitors can admire the MCPURA Cielo, GT2 Stradale, and MCXtrema, which are all ready to take on the legendary Goodwood Hillclimb.
The spotlight will be on the GT2 Stradale, the road-homologated version of the GT2 that has returned the Trident to winning ways in closed-wheel racing. Alongside it will be the stunning MCPURA Cielo, representing the new frontier of Maserati supercars.

Completing Maserati's lineup at the Festival of Speed is a spectacular MCXtrema featuring an exclusive blue-and-yellow livery inspired by the colors of Modena. Homologated exclusively for track use and produced in just 62 examples worldwide, the Trident's supercar is a true racing beast, powered by the formidable Nettuno-derived 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, pushed to produce 740 hp.
