Dubai, 28 October 2014 - Al Tayer Motors announces the arrival of a new entry-level engine for Maserati’s flagship luxury sedan, the Quattroporte. The 3.0-litre twin turbo V6 with 330hp is now available as an addition to the existing range comprising the 530hp V8 Maserati Quattroporte GTS and the 410hp V6 Quattroporte S. The Quattroporte is produced in Maserati’s state-of-art facility in Grugliasco, Italy and is being offered with a standard three-year/60,000 kilometres service and maintenance package, in addition to a three year warranty. Prices of the car start from AED 379,000. “The Quattroporte combines a quintessentially Italian design and driving experience with the highest level of passenger comfort. It is aimed at automotive enthusiasts who want a distinctive motoring experience. Together with a limited period package, which includes complimentary insurance and a zero per cent interest/profit rate for one year, the car offers unrivalled value in the luxury segment for UAE customers,” said Hossam Hosni, General Manager, Luxury Auto, Al Tayer Motors. The car is also available through Premier Motors’ Maserati showroom in Khalidiya, Abu Dhabi. The Maserati-designed engine is being manufactured by Ferrari in Maranello for the exclusive use of Maserati. With 330hp at 5000 rpm, the V6 of the Quattroporte delivers a powerful drive with a torque of 500 Nm between 1750 rpm and 4500 rpm. It delivers 90 per cent of its 500 Nm of torque from 1600 rpm. At 5.26 meters length the Maserati Quattroporte weighs only 1860 kg with a perfect 50:50 weight distribution between front and rear. Thanks to its downsized engine, the Quattroporte achieves the lowest ever petrol consumption in its 50 year history with just 9.8 litres/100km as well as CO2 emissions of 228 grams/km. The latest addition to the Quattroporte range retains its sporty Maserati character with an acceleration of 5.6 seconds from zero to 100km/h and a top speed of 263 km/h. The Quattroporte with 330 hp is fitted with a ZF AT8 - HP70 eight-speed automatic transmission, which contributes to increased comfort, faster gear shifting, reduced fuel consumption and reduced NVH. As befitting Maserati tradition, it is capable of being in five dedicated shift modes: Auto Normal, Auto Sport, Manual Normal, Manual Sport and the I.C.E. mode. The I.C.E. (Increased Control and Efficiency) mode, which is designed particularly for increased fuel economy and low grip conditions, and is also available on all other Quattroporte variants. The design of the Quattroporte is distinctive and exclusive, a harmonious combination of elegance and sportiness - a true Maserati in terms of design, performance and even its characteristic exhaust sound. The subtle absence of an engine badge blends the new engine model into the existing Quattroporte range. The interior standard equipment is sumptuous with traditional hand crafted detailing for which the trident brand is known. Maserati also provides an exceptional degree of personalisation with a vast range of materials for the client to choose from, including wood, carbon fibre, leather, Alcantara and numerous optional choices. Features like the rear seat entertainment, a reversing camera and the optional 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, as well as WLAN-based WiFi add a touch of technological luxury.
