Extension of Regus network in Abu Dhabi can help companies make productivity gains and attract talent Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 27th October, 2013 – Regus has strengthened its network of flexible workspaces in Abu Dhabi, adding a business centre at Sowwah Square on Al Maryah Island. Regus, the world's largest provider of flexible workplaces, now operates 5 locations in Abu Dhabi and 12 in the UAE, in Dubai and Sharjah as well as Abu Dhabi. The growth of the Regus network offers more opportunities for companies in the UAE to adopt flexible and remote working patterns, or to get closer to customers and key contacts. They can take an office space in the central business district without committing to a long-term lease or upfront capital investment. Businesses can also use the network to give staff more choice over where they work, doing their job at locations closer to where they live instead of commuting to a fixed office. They can work at a single Regus location for some or all the week, or use Regus Businessworld membership to work at whichever Regus business lounge suits them best on a specific day - it could be Regus Sowwah Square one day, and a centre in Dubai the next. Flexible and remote working practices are gaining popularity in the Middle East. In the latest Regus Global Business Survey of over 26,000 senior business people, just under half (44%) respondents in the Middle East said they now work remotely for at least half the week. Moreover, 75% of respondents in the Middle East said effective management of remote workers is perfectly achievable, with training. This percentage is significantly higher than the global average (51%) - perhaps because many executives in the Gulf are already successfully managing mobile workers and staff in separate branch offices in different Gulf locations. According to Kory Thompson, Regus Country Manager for the UAE, 'Regus customers in the Middle East tell us that using flexible workspaces and flexible working practices helps them to manage their resources better, improve productivity, and attract and retain talented staff. Because of this, we're continually adding to our network to improve the choice and convenience available to our customers and other business in the UAE. With this new opening at Sowwah Square, we're giving businesses of all sizes affordable access to one of Abu Dhabi's most desirable locations.' About the centre The fifth Regus centre in Abu Dhabi is at Sowwah Square on Al Maryah Island, a mixed-used waterfront development at the heart of Abu Dhabi's new central business district. The light-filled offices are close to the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, the Rosewood hotel, and the Galleria One, Abu Dhabi's leading luxury retail destination, in addition to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and many international financial services, law, property and oil and gas companies. Facilities at the Regus business centre include over 50 offices, with stunning waterfront views, video conferencing, business lounge, meeting rooms, highly trained customer service team, multilingual reception and admin back-up, high-speed internet and A/C underground parking. www.regus.ae
