Sharjah Ruler Hosts University of Exeter Gulf Alumni Dinner

Sharjah Media Centre-Sharjah-UAE: September 27, 2013 - His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Thursday evening hosted the Annual University of Exeter Gulf Alumni Dinner at the Dr. Sultan Al Qasimi Centre of Gulf Studies in Sharjah.

HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi welcomed the guests and fellow graduates of the University of Exeter, wishing them a pleasant stay in the UAE.

During the event, Professor Tim Niblock, former Director of the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies at the University of Exeter, was awarded an honorary doctorate and hailed for his contribution to the Institute.

Baroness Floella Benjamin, Chancellor of the University of Exeter, and Professor Sir Steve Smith, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of the University of Exeter, thanked (HH Sheikh Dr. Al Qasimi) for patronizing the event, pointing to the (important )role such events play in improving the University's performance.
