Istituto Marangoni Selected by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education for the Study Abroad Scholarship Program

The Ministry of Education (MOE) of the United Arab Emirates has recently included the Italian fashion and design school Istituto Marangoni Milano in the list of international Higher Education Institutions that Emirates students can select as a study-abroad destination for the 2023 Scholarship Program.

This call for applications is reserved for current Grade 12 students with UAE nationality. Registration for the first semester of the academic year 2023-2024 is now open, and candidates will have until March 31st, 2023, to apply.

Istituto Marangoni has been a top-ranking higher education provider with a mission to support and enhance creative talent since 1935. Its Italian network of fashion, art and design schools in Milan, Paris and Florence soon expanded to include the world’s luxury capitals, including London, Paris, Mumbai, Shanghai, Shenzen, Miami and, more recently, Dubai. Blending Italy’s highly-reputed fashion heritage and craftsmanship with the latest digital technology, the school focuses on pursuing innovation and preparing industry-ready learners.

“It is a privilege to have been included by the UAE Ministry of Education in the list of the 85 foreign institutions specialized in Arts & Design, as one of the 200 top-ranked universities, according to the MOE criteria”, says Stefania Valenti, Istituto Marangoni Managing Director. “Only 3 Italian institutions have been selected as study-abroad destinations in the creative fields. Among them, Istituto Marangoni Milano is the only school offering Fashion and Design bachelor’s degrees. We successfully opened our Dubai school in September 2022 thanks to the support of local institutions, and today, we are the first H.E. mover in the fashion and luxury fields locally. Our programs will contribute to generating new UAE creative talents and managers to support further growth in the luxury marketplace. According to major international reports, this market is going to grow +7% vs PY in the Middle East (in Dubai in particular) in 2023, and it will be one of the most promising  markets for the future (2030).”

The inclusion of the Milano school as a study-abroad destination for the country’s scholarship program is only one of the great achievements made possible by the positive collaboration between Istituto Marangoni and the UAE Ministry of Education. Istituto Marangoni is the first international fashion Higher Education provider to have opened a school in the UAE, namely at Dubai’s DIFC, in September 2022.
