United Arab Emirates, September 03, 2020: This week’s WWE media update includes a round-up of results from Payback, as well as all the latest news from both RAW and SmackDown and details about how to access content in the MENA region. ROMAN’S NIGHT AT PAYBACK On a night packed full of drama, Roman Reigns became the new Universal Champion after defeating “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman at Payback. Elsewhere, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship changed hands after Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax secured a shock victory over Bayley and Sasha Banks. There were also memorable victories for the likes of Big E, Keith Lee and Mat Riddle.
ORTON ON TOP Randy Orton came out on top in a Triple Threat Match against Seth Rollins and Keith Lee to earn himself another shot at the WWE title later this month. The Viper will take on Drew McIntyre once again at WWE Clash of Champions, which is available to watch via the WWE Network in the MENA Region on September 28 (UAE time).
It was Lee who appeared on course to secure a shot at the big prize, but Orton eventually prevailed following a hugely entertaining clash, ensuring The Viper has McIntyre in his sights once again.
REIGNS ALL SET FOR SMACKDOWN It’s been an incredible few weeks for Roman Reigns, who followed up his shock SummerSlam return by winning the Universal Championship at Payback. Reigns is set to have a big impact on this week’s SmackDown, but what can we expect?
