du to Reward Customers for Timely Mobile Number ID Renewal with Luxury Prize Draw
du offers ‘speedy’ incentive for customers who renew the ID registration for their numbers in line with the UAE Registration Policy
 
Dubai, UAE, 21 November, 2018:   du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), is inviting customers with expired ID registrations to renew the registration of their numbers for free before 31st January to avoid their services being suspended or ceased, in line with the UAE Registration Policy.  To encourage them to act promptly, all customers who renew the ID registration for their du numbers before the January cut-off date will go in the draw to win a car.
 
Customers requiring ID renewal will be notified individually via SMS, only after which they will need to visit any of du’s outlets for registration. du customers can also renew online or via the du app to avoid having their line disconnected.  Customers can also check their ID registration status by sending an SMS to 6664 with message ‘Status’.

By offering a great incentive, as well as eliminating stress, du is building on its strong user-centric business model to further integrate with customers and to enhance the overall du experience. I encourage all of our customers to register in accordance with the timeframe set out for them to avoid inconvenience or disconnection in the future.”
 
Large numbers of du customers need to register their Emirate’s ID with du each year. du welcomes customers who have not renewed and had their services ceased as well as those who are due for renewal but haven’t done so yet to register before the cut-off date.
 
In order to register a SIM line, the following identification documents are required: 
  • UAE Citizens: Valid UAE National ID issued from the UAE’s Emirates Identity Authority 
  • GCC Citizens: Valid UAE National ID issued from the UAE’s Emirates Identity Authority or Valid GCC passport or valid GCC National ID
  • Non-GCC Citizens and Non-UAE Citizens: Valid UAE National ID issued from the UAE’s Emirates Identity Authority, or Passport
  • For Business or Government Establishments: Valid establishment card issued from the UAE’s Ministry of Interior
