Fujairah ruler, Hamdan bin Zayed and other officials praise efforts by the HHC in promoting UAE's cultural heritage

Dubai, UAE, September 27, 2018:   HH Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah accompanied by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah; HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and President of the UAE Falconers Club, and other UAE officials praised the efforts by the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) in promoting the rich UAE cultural heritage during their visits in the first two days of the ongoing Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 2018.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan also visited the HHC exhibit area and participated in the Saktoun rifle shooting competition.

HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian and Humanitarian Affairs, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council; HH Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court, all made a tour of the HHC pavilion and commended the HHC staff for their drive in preserving Emirati tradition.

The HHC has set up a pavilion, which carries the theme ‘Year of Zayed’, to showcase its various championships through the use of smart technology at the ADIHEX 2018 which runs until Saturday (September 29) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (Adnec) Halls 12-5. 

Reflecting the wisdom of the UAE’s Founding Father and connecting his legacy to the younger generation, visitors to the HHC pavilion can view pictures and short films on the life of Sheikh Zayed. Interactive screens allow them to watch Sheikh Zayed's humanitarian journey and how he built the foundations of the UAE through short films produced exclusively by the Center.

The HHC has also organised a series of lectures for young people and a short story contest centered on the values of Sheikh Zayed and his love for preserving the environment.

H.E. Abdullah Hamdan bin Dalmook, CEO of HHC, took note of the of the Center’s pavilion. He said: “Today the HHC represents the entire UAE, not just Dubai, for its activities inspired by our local heritage.”

“Our permanent participation in this exhibition is a bridge of communication linking the past to the present, and an opportunity to encourage institutions and entities working in the same field to facilitate the process of establishing cooperative relations,” added Bin Dalmook, who also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the organisers of the exhibition.

Meanwhile, the presence of HHC’s lovely mascots HHC mascots Omeir and Ghbeisha has enriched the experience of the visitors and has put into the public attention the importance of adhering to the UAE national identity.

Moreover, Ms. Suad Ibrahim Darwish, Director of Championships at HHC has announced the launch of the various Fazza championships Schedule for the 2018-2019 season.

The HHC Department of Championships has also launched the seventh edition of Championships’ magazine highlighting its various competitions and activities last season, including heritage sports such as Falconry, Saktoun rifle championship, diving, desert trekking, camping, hunting, and equestrian and other traditional outdoor activities.

Visitors to the exhibition are being encouraged to join the various competitions in the upcoming season.
