Simran Vedvyas, a senior at Universal American School Dubai and Founder of youth group, SynergY is awarded with the Young Achievers Award 2015 Youth Icon ‘Young Brilliance’, in appreciation and recognition of her social work to the community at a very young age. The award night was graced by Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Honorable Union Minister for External Affairs, Govt. Of India, joined by several other distinguished guests on the occasion of National Youth Day “Yuva Divas” at Azad Bhawan in New Delhi, India.

The evening marked a well-outlined cultural program and the award function highlighted the achievements of young talents at National level.The award categories ranged from the talents active in the field of Education, Media, Social Media, Social Work, Skill Devolvement, Science Engineering and Technology, Medicine, Music, Cultural & Art, Fashion, Agriculture Development, Entrepreneurship and Sports.

National Youth Day is celebrated as an auspicious day remembering the global youth icon Swami Vivekanand, born on this day in 1863. The philosophy of Swamiji and the ideals,in which he lived and worked,always inspire as a great source of inspiration for the Youth.  To honour young talent from various sectors of the nation, who have taken the name of India to glorious heights, by contributing to development, Youth Pathshala Foundation, a leading group specialized in talent organized the “Achievers Award 2015”, to 19 leading young personalities of the nation, who were carefully selected from a big pool of nominees by eminent jury members

Simran Vedyas, took pride in receiving her award as “Young Brilliance”.  Being the youngest recipient and nominated for the social work at a very young age, at just seventeen, she is a true inspiration and founder of SynergY youth group, who work to promote sustainability. She is a catalyst inspiring everyone with her simplicity and grit.  A young and talented ‘visionary’, an ‘achiever’excels with strong ‘leadership’ showing ‘humanitarian’ commitment, is continuously self-motivated to ‘dreaming large and achieving big’.  Simran is the youngest  “Emirates Women of the Year 2015 Young Achiever” and also recipient of “Splash Heart of Gold” award for her astounding contribution and work.
