World number three reveals his golfing goals at today’s Abu Dhabi Invitational ABU DHABI, January 31: Four-time major winner Rory McIlroy says he’d take a green jacket over a gold medal in 2016. The world number three was speaking with media at today’s Abu Dhabi Invitational at Yas Links. “I would definitely wait another four years for the Olympics if I could get a real shot at the Masters,” said McIlroy, who lacks only a victory at Augusta in his collection of major wins. He will play for Ireland in the games at Rio later this year. McIlroy is currently out on course in the charity fundraiser, playing alongside tournament owner Mohammed al Farooq. Also in their fourball are Rory’s father Gerry and Belgian European Tour professional Thomas Pieters. A full press release containing results and quotes will be sent out to media later this afternoon.
