Sharjah based leading and one of the most popular youth community group “Students for the Earth” made their weekend meaningful by visiting “Human Appeal International”(HAI) at Ajman to donate heaps of good condition clothes and books for the orphans , poor , needy and the less fortunate ones. 40 volunteers from the group alongwith few parents took pleasure in practising what the group has been preaching “SHARE & CARE” by not only donating clothes and books but also spending good quality time with the orphan children over there . Student volunteers of the group danced , sang for the orphan children , chatted with them and entertained them to see the beaming smiles on their faces. 10 year old Venkatesan says “I enjoyed so much talking to these children who are so innocent . I want to go there again and help them as much as possible.” Project Manager of HAI by their corporate video showed the various projects they are doing not only in UAE but also in countries like Somalia . He inspired the participants to always think of helping others as you never know when in future you may need some help. He shared good and positive moral values with them. The event was very well co-organised by the group Team Leaders “Niranjana Sunil” and “Mohamed Sinaan” who also gave their heartfelt thanks to the team of HAI for giving such an opportunity to show their love & care for the less fortunate ones. It was a Saturday well spent for such a great cause. Arushi Madan, President of “Students for the Earth” says “We have always been doing the events which either protect the environment & serve Mother Earth or serve the needy like the one we have done now at Human Appeal International . By events like this , we are living upto our slogan “Small Acts , Big Impact”. We were so touched by the words of Project Manager of HAI and have decided to visit them and donate to them more often. We want to urge everyone to donate the clothes and books they don’t need. This way you are not only helping the less fortunate but also helping the environment by NOT throwing the clothes adding to landfill.” Students for the Earth is a leading youth community group and is a member of Earth Charter International Youth Groups.
