~ If you can scribble, trace or wave a finger in the air you can use the 3Doodler 2.0. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination ~ April 9th 2015, Dubai – UAE: The second generation of the 3Doodler was announced at The Middle East Film & Comic Con 2015 (MEFCC) by The3DBEE, an online platform, dedicated to 3D printing and services powered by PRECISE Group, who are early adopters of 3D printing in the Middle East. The new version of the pen is slimmer, lighter design that is less than quarter the size of the original and weighs just 50 grams. 3Doodler, the world’s first 3D drawing pen is a worldwide phenomenon and has a massive fan following of hobbyist and DIYers. The 3Doodler was introduced by PRECISE Group last year to the Middle East market and has become one of the fastest selling products in the region. 3Doodler 2.0 version has been completely redesigned from tip to toe after more than two years of research and development. More efficient, quieter and sleeker than the original 3Doodler, the 2.0 pen is less than half the weight of an apple. Its stylish aluminum casing gives the pen a more premium feel, alongside internals that include a re-engineered drive system and an entirely new nozzle design. The new enhanced airflow, which uses a patented fan system, cools the plastic even more efficiently and quietly, while the dual speed control provides perfect precision over your creations. The new JetPack accessory, a portable power pack for Doodling on the move, and one of four new accessories being released for 3Doodler 2.0, allows for 3 hours of non-stop Doodling with PLA plastic, and over 2 hours with ABS. New filaments like ‘Glow in the dark’ and ‘Flexy’ have also been added to the selection of filaments for the new version. Compact and easy to use, the 2.0 pen allows you to literally draw in the air by extruding heated plastic that cools almost instantly into a solid, stable structure. Whether freestyle 3D sketching or tracing shapes from templates to make larger architectural structures, the 2.0 pen allows artist, designers, geometrists, hobbyists, teachers, and architects to test out their ideas quickly and easily. “When we launched the 3Doodler last year to the Middle East market, we knew it will instantly be liked by customers as it is a great starting point for beginners into the 3D design world. With the 2.0 version, customers will be introduced to a brand new looking pen which has new features allowing to do much more than its predecessor and through our website The3DBee.com, you can order for extra filaments and contact us for us technical support so you can doodle hassle free” highlights Mr.Lothar Hohmann, Owner and President of PRECISE Group. Daniel Cowen, Co-Founder of 3Doodler, explains, “Our dream with creating the first generation 3Doodler was to build something that captured the imagination of people worldwide; especially in the UAE, which was one of our strongest markets in 2014. People Doodled things far beyond our wildest expectations – from the Burj Khalifa, which at 2.5m high was the world’s tallest Doodle, to fully functioning RC planes, 3Doodled dresses, and even jewellery. With 3Doodler 2.0, drawing in the air just got even better. As we continue in our pursuit to create the world’s first and best 3D printing pen, we’re excited to see how our communities around the world pushes the boundaries of 3D art and creation.” Since the launch of the original 3Doodler last May in the Middle East, PRECISE Group has hosted various workshops, exhibitions and created our very own “Doodle Bar” at events. We also hosted the KUFIC exhibition with renowned UAE and international artist to showcase KUIFC calligraphy through innovative 3D works created with the 3Doodler. The 3Doodler appeals to hobbyist, artist, designers, architects and educational establishments; 3Doodler allows the creation of amazing 3D objects without the restrictions of complicated software or advanced artistic abilities or design training. Limited only by the user’s imagination, the 3Doodler requires no technical knowledge or specific skills. 3Doodler has sold over 130,000 units worldwide, making it best selling 3D printing device in the world. The device is a 2014 and 2015 CES Innovation Award Honoree, and has won the Stuff Kickstart of the Year 2013 and The 3D Print Show Best Consumer Product 2013 award.
