Following on from spring/summer’s hugely successful collaboration with acclaimed designer, Orla Kiely, Clarks continue their partnership with the ‘Queen of Prints’ for a second season. Bringing together a shared passion for creativity, style and attention to detail, the capsule collection for autumn/winter 14 is underpinned by the craftsmanship synonymous with the Clarks name for almost 200 years. Renowned for her love of colour, pattern and texture, Kiely has taken her contemporary spin on 60s and 70s design and created a capsule collection of six styles that will preview at London Fashion Week in February 2014. Spanning an eclectic range of styles, the collection includes The Dora, a low-heeled slipper loafer, The Dotty, a t-bar mid-heel platform, The Dorothy a mid-heeled mary-jane, alongside the Daphne, the Dilly and the Dixie, more everyday styles with a fashion edge. Weaving classic rich autumnal tones of burgundy, ochre and red, with bold silhouettes and unexpected textures, the collection is undeniably trend led, yet appeals to the wardrobe needs of every modern woman. Orla Kiely is endorsed by a celebrity fan base that includes Kate Middleton, Alexa Chung, Kiera Knightley, Kirsten Dunst and Zooey Deschanel. Continuing to attract interest from fashion influencers, the follow-up collection further cements her style credentials as fashion’s leading pioneer of prints. Orla Kiely commented: “I’m incredibly proud of my second collection with Clarks. Working together, we’ve built on the momentum of the first season and created some truly standout, autumn/winter styles. The Clarks team, their passion for their craft as well as the brand’s heritage are a real inspiration and I really feel we’ve done it again”. Orla Kiely’s second capsule shoe collection for Clarks will launch in August 2014, available from leading independent boutiques, department stores and selected Clarks stores.
