Celebrate Diwali at The Oberoi, Dubai

Dubai, UAE, 20 October 2013: The Oberoi, Dubai, one of the newest five star luxury hotels in the UAE, is inviting guests to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, with a special ‘Diwali Experience' menu at its Indian signature restaurant, Ananta. Ananta captures India's rich culinary heritage, showcasing a variety of authentic cooking techniques. The stunning centrepiece of Ananta is the open-plan cooking station, which features a coal-fired clay oven, roomali roti maker and tawa, creating a sense of theatre and an entertaining, interactive dining experience. During the Diwali celebrations, the restaurant will be decorated with earthen lamps, known as diyas, and guests will be welcomed with a traditional Rangoli displayed at the entrance. The Oberoi, Dubai's resident sitar player will provide live entertainment every night.

The ‘Diwali Experience' menu, priced at AED 300 per person, is ideal to share with friends and family at this special time of year. Guests can choose to enjoy their celebratory meal at Ananta from 7pm until 9.30pm or from 9.45pm until 12.15am. Diners will start with a choice of kebab platters, before being offered a fragrant mango cleanser followed by a Thali platter featuring an assortment of smaller dishes. The ‘Diwali Experience' menu offers a wide selection for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian epicureans and is served with freshly made Indian breads and steamed basmati rice. An Indian dessert sampler provides the perfect end to the gastronomic experience.
