United Arab Emirates - November 01, 2020: At Instagram, we're always looking to provide the best live creation and viewing experience for our community, and have launched changes to improve that experience. These features include: • Extending the time limit for a live stream from 60 minutes to four hours for all people on Instagram, globally. This could help people such as instructors (yoga, fitness, school teachers etc.) who had to pivot to virtual classes, budding musicians, or artists hosting discussions with fellow peers engage with their audience with no interruption from a 60 min time limit. o Accounts must be in good standing with no history of IP or policy violations to be able to stream for up to four hours. • In response to the ask from our creator community, we’re soon launching the ability for accounts to archive their live broadcasts for up to 30 days. This experience will mirror the archive experience for Stories and Feed Posts. • We’ll also be updating the “Live Now” section within IGTV and at the end of a live stream. As people increasingly relied on Live this year to engage with their communities, we want to help people discover more content that interests them from the creators they do and don’t follow.
