Dubai, UAE, 9 November 2015  - Rostec State Corporation is going to take part in one of the largest international aerospace exhibitions — the Dubai Airshow, that will take place on November 8 - 12. The corporation will make a debut of the state-of-the-art multi-role medium Mi-171A2 helicopter as well as of the ANSAT multipurpose light helicopter in its VIP-version.

Rostec has been entrusted with the task of organizing the combined Russian exposition. The exhibition will be visited by Rostec's CEO Sergei Chemezov.

Director of the Federal Service for Military & Technical Cooperation, Mikhail Petukhov has been appointed leader of the Russian delegation and Chief Executive Officer of Russian Helicopters Alexander Mikheev — leader of the Corporation's joint delegation. Rosoboronexport's Chief Executive Officer Anatoly Isaikin will join the exhibition at the invitation of UAE's Air Force and Air Defense Commands.

'The Dubai Airshow is one of the most important aerospace exhibitions to the Persian Gulf and Middle East's nations,” remarked Rostec's CEO Sergey Chemezov. “Russia has been part of these exhibitions since 1993. For us it is an opportunity to roll out the latest technologies and hold talks with our partners. This region is one of the most significant areas in Rostec's global expansion campaign”.

Rostec will represent Rosoboronexport and Russian Helicopters. The event will also host VKO Almaz-Antey, Roskosmos Federal Space Agency and UAC. The floor space of the Russian exposition will total 680 sq. m.

Russian Helicopters will make a debut of the state-of-the-art multi-role medium Mi-171A2 helicopter and the ANSAT multipurpose light helicopter in its VIP-version. Apart from these, the multi-role Ka-32A11VS helicopter will be presented in its firefighting version. It has over 40 firefighting equipment options, including a horizontal fire-fighting water cannon. The helicopter is capable of putting out conflagrations in heavy smoke conditions, on the upper floors of high-rise buildings and at oil and gas facilities.

Rosoboronexport will run a first-time demonstration of the on-line catalogue and 3D models of military products on a video wall, providing an augmented reality experience. Specifically, it will give a presentation of the Yak-130 combat trainer, the Su-35 super-manoeuvrable multi-role fighter, the MiG-29M2 two-seat multipurpose front-line fighter, the Mi-171SH military transportation helicopter, the Ka-52 reconnaissance and attack helicopter and Mi-35M assault transportation and gunship  helicopter. Also, visitors to the exhibition will pick up interesting details on the IL-76MD-90A military transportation aircraft, the Be-200 multipurpose amphibious aircraft and on the Mi-26T2 heavy-lift transportation helicopter. Meetings are to be set up with Rosoboronexport's traditional partners from Middle East, Africa and South East Asia

The exhibition will bring together over 1,000 companies from more than 50 countries,  namely Bombardier Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney (Canada), Airbus, Rafale International, THALES (France), Eurofighter, Lufthansa Technik (Germany), Alenia Aermacchi, Alenia Aeronautica, Finmeccanica, Thales Alenia Space (Italy), SAAB AB (Sweden), BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce (UK), Bell Helicopter Textron, Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin Corp., Raytheon Company, Sikorsky Aircraft (USA) and others.
