Major Russian civil aircraft company showcases its aircraft designed by the famed Italian design and engineering firm Pininfarina at the Dubai Airshow 2015 DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, November 9, 2015: The renowned Russian Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAS) has set its eyes on the Middle East and in a bid to promote the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ100) liner in the region, SCAS is showcasing the aircrafts at the Dubai Airshow 2015. This is a strategic move for the Russian Airliner as the Dubai Airshow is one of the most prestigious airshows in the world that connects aerospace professionals across all areas of the industry to facilitate successful global trade. The SSJ 100 is an advanced and cost-effective commercial aircraft, built with state of the art technologies in aerodynamics, engine and aircraft systems. According to the OAK market review in 2015, during the period from 2015-2034, the annual rate of passenger traffic growth is forecasted to rise to over 6 per cent. At the beginning of 2030, the passenger airlines turnover is set to increase up to 12 per cent of the world index, making 1,845 billion passenger-kilometers. The projected sales of aircrafts’ dimension from 60 to 200 seats at Middle East market is set to exceed 700 planes.” “We are thrilled to participate in the Dubai Airshow 2015. Among the SSJ 100 aircrafts showcased at Dubai AirShow 2015, SSJ 100 (serial number 95065) has been designed for Interjet, Mexican carrier. Interjet operates 16 SSJ100 planes that have completed over 37,000 flights to Latin America and US cities. A contract for the export of 30 SSJ100 aircrafts is already confirmed.
