The Sustainability Platform returns for discussion on how to become a better leader in diverse teams, despite ongoing gender barriers

Dubai, UAE, 08 November 2015 - The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), the official representative organization for business women, both professionals and entrepreneurs, in the Emirate of Dubai, welcomed back The Sustainability Platform to host its November Network Majlis titled, Gender, Coaching and Entering the C-Suite. The workshop, facilitated by Tena Pick, CEO and Co-Founder of The Sustainability Platform, presented DBWC members with research to help them become better leaders.

The objective of the workshop was to present scientific findings in the difference between men and women when it comes to coaching. Tena also examined historical reasons for the C-suite gender disparity along with the differences in how top level executives approach coaching and potential for creating gender-equal board with regards to the presented findings.

“Gender disparity is quite common in the workplace and we encourage our female leaders to learn best practices to ensure they manage their situation efficiently,” said HE Dr. Raja Easa Saleh Al Gurg, President of DBWC. “Today’s workshop revealed many misperceptions around gender inequality and trust. It provided our members with the key skills required to implement in their workforce and also to continue the conversation around it.”

Tena is a social impact consultant passionate about women empowerment, community development and social impact measurement.
