Baking Enthusiasts Work Up an Appetite with the Launch of the Dubai Bake Festival

Dubai - UAE, Sunday, 12th July 2015: Building on the rapidly growing trend of professional and home baking, and with Dubai embracing this sector more than ever, Renno Communications Group announced today the organization of the first Dubai Bake Festival.

The Festival is set to take place on November 20-21, 2015, at the Green Park within Dubai Investment Park, with tens of thousands of residents in the area and surrounding communities.

Commenting on the launch of the Dubai Bake Festival, Samer M. Renno, CEO, Renno Communications Group, said, “Baking in the region dates back to thousands of years, and as the baking industry in Dubai continues to grow at an unprecedented rate, we are delighted to create and organize this Festival, in order to offer a platform for people to celebrate the art of baking.”

The Dubai Bake Festival is set to be a one-stop destination for enthusiast of savory and sweet baked products, who enjoy a fun-filled and entertaining outing, combined with live music, baking workshops by industry experts and numerous competitions for a complete memorable experience.

Visitors of all ages will gain free admission to the festival and can expect to taste baked goods, artisanal items, a dedicated kids’ play area, and a whole lot more. In addition, they will have an opportunity to sample unlimited choices from trade exhibitors who are passionate about baking and will display their skills through their scrumptious creations. The event will be a benchmark that will mark the advent of many new entrants in the growing baking industry in the Middle East.

“Consumers nowadays are becoming choosier than ever, as they demand quality and nutritious baked goods, along with sophistication and appeal,” Renno remarked. “I believe the Dubai Bake Festival will create opportunities for exhibitors to engage with current and prospective customers, and to demonstrate the uniqueness of their products, while ensuring that visitors and baking fans alike have a memorable time.”

Over the past five years, the baking industry in the UAE has seen a significant growth in terms of sales and value. As the volume of sales rose up to 200,100 tonnes, the industry has grown to US$682.9 million in monetary value. Given that there is an increasing tendency towards health consciousness, there was a growth of 7% in health and wellness bakery products. Whole wheat breads, low sugar products, along with artisanal breads and the like, are expected to be in high demand in the present and near future.
