18 June 2015: SHUAA Asset Management Ltd. today announces that is has been awarded the “Best Regional Asset Manager” at Banker Middle East’s Annual Industry Awards 2015.

Organised by CPI Financial, the awards recognise institutions that are truly innovative pioneers in their respective areas of expertise, and are helping to shape the future of the industry in the region. The nominations were conducted through a ballot by more than 60,000 registered finance professionals. There were over 200 institutions participating for this year’s top awards, mainly from the UAE, Qatar, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman.

“We are very proud to have been named top Asset Manager in the region,” commented Mr Abdul Rahman Al Hareb, Chairman of SHUAA Capital. “The Award once again acknowledges the performance of our team and reflects their commitment to investment excellence. Over the past years, both our flagship funds - Emirates Gateway and Arab Gateway - have outperformed their respective benchmarks, consistently delivering returns for our clients, and the team is currently working on a pipeline of new products which are planned to be launched in the second half of the year.”

As of 26th of May 2015, the Arab Gateway Fund and Emirates Gateway Fund have recorded gains of 10.7% and 11.3% for the year, outperforming their respective benchmarks by 3.5% and 8.2%.
