ADNOC Distribution Reiterates Security and Safety Procedures and Protocols during Refuelling for Motorists Abu Dhabi-UAE: 1 June 2015: In a bid to raise awareness on health, safety and environment procedures and protocols followed within its network of service stations, ADNOC Distribution has lined up a health, safety and environment (HSE) tips for the benefit of customers and motorists across the UAE. This effort articulates the UAE leadership’s ongoing priority to safeguard public health, safety, and overall well-being. Khalid Hadi, Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications at ADNOC Distribution, said: “We are keen to organise awareness campaigns at our service stations across the UAE to reiterate the compliance of our services and facilities to best international standards. While this task is the collective responsibility of the community, stakeholders and key economic sectors, such organisational efforts reiterate our commitment to proactively ensuring the safety of our employees, customers and the public at large.” Hadi added: “The most important tips that we urge motorists to follow in order to avoid accidents and ensure the safety of life and property while refueling vehicles is to slow down when entering the service station and stop smoking while at the service stations as per the UAE law. “We also encourage customers to turn off car engines prior to refueling and refrain from using mobile phones. We recommend that motorists do not leave cars unattended while refueling the tank to prevent traffic congestion at the service stations. Customers are advised to start their vehicles engines again position for refueling only after the return of the hose into the fuel dispenser.'
