Abu Dhabi, February 28, 2015 – The Terry Fox Run is an annual charity event held in various regions around the world in commemoration of Canadian cancer activist Terry Fox, and his Marathon of Hope, to raise funds for cancer research and build awareness around it.

The 20th Terry Fox Run Abu took place on Friday, February 27, 2015 on the Abu Dhabi Corniche at starting from 10.00, engaging all participants with fun activities, music and entertainment before and after the run. The casual, non-competitive run is designed for everyone. In 2015 adults, children, schools and corporate groups chose to walk, run, bicycle, skateboard, scooter or rollerblade any desired length of the route, creating cancer awareness with the goal to help.

Beach Rotana participated as a corporate group and we are proud that more than 500 colleagues from various Rotana properties came together on that Friday morning to support the Terry Fox Foundation with their participation.

“I am very proud of the whole team and glad to experience this commitment by all employees who had the chance to participate in this year’s run. It shows me that the CSR values of the Rotana group are valued by all colleagues. The participation of Beach Rotana in this fundraising run has a long tradition and is an important event for us as a hotel were we proudly participate every year to support the cancer research.
