Continuing its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai organised a blood donation camp at the hotel. The entire team at the hotel whole-heartedly participated in the initiative and contributed to the noble cause.
Mr Scott Butcher, General Manager of the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai, said “As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility policy, we always take up initiatives for the good of society. The recently conducted blood donation programme was yet another addition to the various causes that we have been supporting. We decided to encourage our staff members to donate blood because one blood unit can save three lives. I feel proud to mention that so many of our associates came forward to do so.”
The drive was carried out in collaboration with Dubai Blood Donation Centre in Latifa Hospital, Dubai. The Blood Donation camp was held at the hotel using the Mobile Unit fitted with four beds allowing four persons at a time to donate blood.
Mr Butcher added: “We partnered with the Dubai Blood Donation Centre in Latifa Hospital as it supports various humanitarian causes. It provides blood for Thalassaemia patients who are in constant need of blood. In addition, blood is also required by patients who undergoes open heart surgeries, cancer patients or patients with bleeding cases.” The Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel Dubai staff frequently participate in such initiatives to show that the community stands together towards a cause, be it joining the walkathon in aid of raising awareness of the genetic disorder, breast cancer, diabetes, Autism or just to promote the benefits of a healthier lifestyle. The hotel has also been making great strides in checking its carbon footprint by incorporating best environmental practices.
