Grand Millennium Dubai participated in the ‘Beat Diabetes’ walk on Friday 12 December at Zabeel Park. More than 25 staff members from the hotel participated in the walk to raise awareness to this growing condition as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility programme.
Mr. Peter Mansourian, General Manager of The Grand Millennium Dubai, said, “We are proud to support this fabulous cause and truly grateful to Landmark Group for having given us the opportunity to do so. At the Grand Millennium Dubai we take health very seriously and encourage all our associates to regularly check their blood glucose levels. As a hotel we recognize the complex challenges of suffering from diabetes and strive to raise awareness about the prevention and management of diabetes in the UAE.”
Mr. Mansourian added “The ‘Beat Diabetes’ campaign is one of many causes the hotel is involved in to raise awareness for health and environmental issues, community support, charity and safety”.
The ‘Beat Diabetes’ initiative advocates diabetes prevention and management by following three simple steps– Eat Healthy, Get Active and Take the Test.
