Participating on the Dubai stand at the World Travel Market in London next month, personnel from the Grand Millennium Dubai will be seeking to consolidate the hotel’s presence in the key British market.

According to Director of Sales, Shadi Karameh, while there has been an increased focus on emerging BRIC countries in recent years, the UK has supplied a constant stream of both business and leisure visitors, a trend that is set to continue.

“There was an eight per cent increase in UK visitors to the UAE in 2013 and the UK continues to rank third out of all source markets for Dubai,” he said.

“The emirate is now seen as a family holiday destination with the bonus of year-round sunshine, while shopping breaks and cruise tourism are on the rise, and stopover traffic out of the UK is also increasing due to exceptional air connectivity that includes daily A380 services out of both Manchester and London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports with Emirates.”
