Raber AG expands footprint in Dubai, GCC and China

DUBAI, UAE February 23 - Raber AG from Lucerne, Switzerland, unveiled today its next steps towards the Gulf Arab region. After successfully presenting the Raber fruit jams at Gulfood last year, the producer of preserves, marmalades and jelly quickly expanded to Dubai and entered into a partnership with EMSONS GROUP.

EMSONS GROUP will start at the beginning of March 2014 with distributing Raber 28 gram mini jars for food service and 12 kilogram bake stable jams for bakeries.

Raber AG will be present at this year’s 4-day Gulfood in Dubai from Feb. 23 - Feb 27,

Available for hotels, restaurants, hospitals and nursing homes are small breakfast servings and also big buckets. For retailers and supermarkets suitable is the jam-assortment 'Royale' in 390 gram glasses at a premium level with 70 per cent fruit and whole pieces of fruit. The high fruit content and the careful preparation, based on an old traditional recipe, give this preserve its excellent, fruity taste. New in 2014 is a smaller 215 g jar for little households and people who like more varieties. Other specialties are the bake stable jams for bakeries. Raber AG’s 'Lifestyle 1:1'(100pct fruit) diet Jam is also good for people with diabetes.

In mid-2013, Raber AG also successfully entered into the market in China. The importer Ningbo Hygeia International Trade from Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, imports the 'Royal Jam' in 215 gram jars for their own shops and for supermarkets in Eastern China.

Mr. Josef Feusi, owner of Raber AG said 'We aim to reach out for broader consumer base in the fast-growing emerging markets where we are already represented by an importer'.

The company’s first participation last year at the Gulfood 2013 was a milestone in Raber AG’s 125-year history. 'This year in February 2014 we want to deepen our relationships in the Gulf region. With the help of our importer EMSONS GROUP, we hope to reach out to new customers in the sales channels retail, food service and bakeries. Raber AG will also be present at the Chinese food fair SIAL China in Shanghai  which runs from May 13 - 15 2014 where the Swiss premium jam producer will be present at the Swiss Pavilion.

The company already exports its high-quality jam to the U. S., Canada, Japan and Korea.
