Abu Dhabi, UAE – Sky Management, the team behind the successful SKYBAR Beirut and SKYBAR at the Du Forum after-parties, announces its line-up for the Grand Opening weekend, which begins on the 31st of October until the 3rd of November, to coincide with the 2013 F1 Etihad Airways Grand Prix. Following this, O1NE Yas Island is open every Thursday to accommodate 1,000 club goers at a single time.
O1NE Yas Island Grand Opening featuring Ludacris and Ciara, Thursday 31st October The platinum selling rapper turned actor, Ludacris is performing on the Grand Launch of O1NE Yas Island. Born Christopher Brian Bridges in Illinois, USA, the Grammy award-winning artist has released seven studio albums to date all of which have reached the top five in the US Billboard charts. He has previously collaborated with an array of award-winning artists including Mary J. Bilge, Usher and Lil Wayne. Alongside his career as a rap artist, Ludacris is also a successful actor with main roles in Fred Claus, RocknRolla, 2 Fast 2 Furious, and the Academy-Award winning film Crash, which even earned him a Screen Actors Guild Award. He is jetting in to perform just for O1NE Yas Island. The beautiful Ciara who hails from Austin Texas will also headline the opening night. Ciara has spent over a decade in the music industry with a Grammy and two BET awards under her belt. She is certain to have the crowd partying all night with her smash hits "1,2 step" and "Body Party". Labrinth and Sean Kingston, Friday 1st November An "Earthquake" is predicted when music sensation Labrinth storms into O1NE Yas Island for the F1 weekend. The East London born boy is Simon Cowell's prodigy who he calls “his little crazy genius.” Labrinth is a maverick on the UK music scene and plays anything from jazz, country, pop and blues. He is currently causing quakes across the USA with his number one single "Beneath Your Beautiful" and will be sure to smash something and have the crowd moshing for him right here on Yas Island. It's time to get ready to party with American-Jamaican rapper Sean Kingston who will take to the stage. Kingston who hit the music scene with chart-topping hit “Beautiful Girls” in 2007 and recently recovered from his near-death jet skiing accident will be wowing the crowd with his tunes from his Back to Life album. John Martin, Saturday 2nd November This night features the Swedish born singer John Martin who is better known for his collaborations with Swedish House Mafia and DJ of the moment Avicii. He also recorded vocals for Sebastian Ingrosso and Tommy Trash's single “Reload”, a song that was the highlight of summer 2013's music scene. Solomun, Sunday 3rd November Closing the spectacular F1 weekend is legendary German house DJ, Solomun. A respected underground producer for many years, his stratospheric rise to stardom began in 2012 and after a legendary season in Ibiza, he began winning awards all around across the globe. His musical style offers the crowd deepness, funkiness and human and according to Solomun “people have emotions, so why not have them on a dance floor”. He is now one of the world's most respected DJs and he plans to bring down the house on the F1 weekender.
