 Phase One to Cover 10 Hectares Dubai-UAE: 9 October, 2013 - Bloom Properties, the real estate arm of the Abu Dhabi-based National Holding company, has commenced work on the development of the first phase of “Parc Dounya” project in Algeria. Spreading over 190 hectares, phase-one will feature low-rise residential buildings with 2-3-4 bedrooms apartments, as well as 3-4 bedroom townhouses and 4-bedroom independent villas. it will additionally feature expansive green spaces, playgrounds and pedestrian corridors. Bloom's announcement coincides with its high-impact participation at Cityscape Global that runs from 8-10 October at the Dubai World Trade Centre. A spokesperson for Bloom Properties said: 'Bloom Properties has completed the initial soil testing and topographic survey for the ‘Parc Dounya' project. We have also commenced landscaping works on phase of phase one areas at an earlier stage. When completed, ‘Parc Dounya' promises to become a prominent must-visit destination for residents and tourists alike. The fully-completed project will reflect Algeria's rich biodiversity and span an area of 800 hectares.” In addition to thematic botanical gardens, lawns and parks, as well as climatic zones, ‘Parc Dounya' will feature pockets of forests and waterways circumvented by a 20-mile track for walking, jogging and cycling. Aiming to serve as a compelling destination, the project will host a variety of recreational options including a signature golf club, a tennis academy, football academy, four and five star international hotels, as well as an open theatre, malls and restaurants. An international school and a 160-bed hospital developed as core components are set to add further value to the upscale development.
