 Underscores Alignment of Resources and Commitment to the Middle East Region Dubai, UAE – 8 September 2013 – FRHI announces the appointment of Sami Nasser as Senior Vice President, Operations, Middle East, Africa and India, FRHI. Sami is based in Dubai and will be responsible for providing leadership across the Middle East, Africa and India for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Hotels & Resorts and Swissôtels Hotels. In this new role, he will also be instrumental in developing strong relationships with key partners and owners in these regions. “We are pleased to have Sami Nasser joining the FRHI team in the Middle East. Previously Sami was Senior Vice President Operations, Middle East, Africa and Indian Ocean for Sofitel. Sami has held several corporate positions at Accor including Director of Operations for Accor Poland, Director of Sales & Marketing for Poland and Baltic countries. In 2008 he was promoted to Senior Vice President worldwide for Business Development and Distribution Network based in Paris Accor Head Office before joining Sofitel as Vice President of Operations in 2009, covering Egypt, Indian Ocean, Bahrain, UAE, KSA and Lebanon.
