Sharjah, 14 March 2023:  The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) called on all shopping centres, shops and central markets to register for the 33rd Sharjah Ramadan Festival (SRF) 2023, which runs from March 22 until April 25 in various cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.

The event's Organising Committee revealed that the SRF succeeded, over three decades, to establish itself in a leading position among similar events, being a key annual promotional and marketing event dedicated to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr. The OC called upon all businesses in the emirate to seize the great opportunities of the festival's advantages and facilities.

Ibrahim Rashid Al Jarwan, Director of the SCCI's Economic Relations Department and the festival's general coordinator, said, “The Sharjah Ramadan Festival is one of the most prominent economic, touristic and promotional events in the region, which attracts huge numbers of visitors, residents, and businesses from various sectors, especially the retail trade. Every year, major shopping centres and thousands of shops seize this opportunity to market their products, as the festival grants a wide range of advantages and benefits for the participating businesses.”

Al-Jarwan underlined SCCI's commitment to providing all means of support for shopping centres and shops, by facilitating registration procedures according to the location, enable the completion of registration processes either at SCCI's headquarters or its branches located in the cities of Khorfakkan, Kalba and Al Dhaid. Al-Jarwan pointed out that SCCI seeks, in cooperation and coordination with local government departments and authorities, to provide all that the SRF needs to be a big success. He expected that the festival would see a wide engagement from various commercial, social, and cultural establishments and organisations.
The SRF 2023, which will be held under the motto ‘Ramadan is happier with you’, is part of set of annual events organised by SCCI with the aim of boosting business activities and retail trade, in addition to increasing the number of shoppers in the malls, central markets, and shops in Sharjah. SCCI has always been working to promote the Emirate of Sharjah as an international tourist destination, highlighting its economic, social, tourist, cultural and historical eminence, and that is why SRF guarantees a unique experience during the holy month of Ramadan, through family activities, live entertainment shows, major discounts on a wide range of goods, heritage and cultural activities, raffles and grand prizes.
