The President of the AUS, in tandem with the Director General of WIPO, embarked on a consequential tour across the emirate, with the aim of exploring fresh and efficacious avenues of partnership between Sharjah and the World Intellectual Property Organization. The overarching objective of this diplomatic endeavour was to leverage the vast potential of IP as a catalyst for innovation and creativity.

Among the thriving businesses were member startups of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa), whose founders engaged with the AUS President and WIPO Director General, as they discussed the importance of patents and trademarks in safeguarding IP and how they can be adapted to the dynamic and fast-paced landscape of today's knowledge and information-driven society.

I was pleased to meet with young entrepreneurs to talk about how IP can help take their ideas to the market”.
