Join SMCCU for Iftar this Ramadan

Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding hosts public and private Iftars throughout Ramadan 
 
DUBAI, 3rd April 2018:   SMCCU’s Iftars are known and loved for their cultural and peaceful setting, and for offering a unique experience for tourists and residents alike. This year, Iftars will start on Saturday 19th May, and will be held throughout Ramadan daily, (except for Fridays), until Tuesday 12th June. 
Held in the courtyard of our wind-tower house in the heart of Al Fahidi District, the Historical Emirati neighbourhood, the evening begins with the “Athan” (the call to prayer) followed by the breaking of the fast with your Emirati hosts. Guest can enjoy Arabic coffee and dates and then take a moment to watch their hosts pray, before a delicious selection of Emirati dishes are served for Iftar. During the event, guests are invited to ask any questions they may have about Ramadan, the culture or the traditions of the UAE. After Iftar, guests are invited to visit the Diwan Mosque, before returning to SMCCU house for dessert and tea. 
 
Prices:  - Public Iftar: AED 185 per person - Private Iftar: These are ideal for larger groups, and can be arranged for up to 90 people. Prices are available upon request
