Dubai, UAE, September 29, 2016: In partnership with Dubai Design Week for the second year running, Galeries Lafayette is now collaborating with four talented artists to produce innovative designs and creations based on this year’s selected theme of ‘Through The Lens’ to be on display to the public. Celebrating its passion for design and fashion, Galeries Lafayette will unveil its windows on 25th September that will have been transformed by the selected designers as part of the French department store’s creative showcase at Dubai Design Week. Creating a visual experience of transformations based on the theme of ‘Through The Lens’, the hand-picked Dubai-based designers will incorporate multiple types of design - interior, fashion and urban - to create unique displays for this key period of design in Dubai. ‘We are proud and honoured to be part of the creative and inspiring design scene during Dubai Design Week this year, reflecting the city’s global outlook by creating the opportunity to experience art, design, and entertainment for the design-focused community of Dubai,’ said Pascal Abchee General Manager, Galeries Lafayette. Last year, visitors from around the world flocked to the city of Dubai to discover the work and concepts of over 150 designers drawn from around the region and internationally - and the success of the inaugural edition cemented the future of Dubai Design Week as an annual event. With Dubai being an international hub for fashion, art, design, creativity and so much more, Galeries Lafayette continues to bring local talent to the design scene for a unique experience. ‘Through The Lens’ welcomes fashionistas, art lovers, and designers for a fresh dose of creativity and design by the artists showcasing their work looking to inspire the public. ‘Through The Lens’ exhibition at Galereies Lafayette will be on display from 25 September to 6 November, 2016 and is open to the public.
