Dubai, UAE, March 22, 2016: The collection for SS16 comes marked by the urban looks in neutral tones with the aesthetic on handmade pieces and simplicity in patternmaking as the key elements in the new look for this coming season. Details stand out in every piece of both brand lines, Bershka and BSK. Hem-free, frayed finishes and natural fabrics are the highlights to this collection. Rustic textures, with a fresh-made feel, make a comeback. For details, trompe l’oeil prints are enriched with embroidery. Ribbed dresses, trumpet-end and wide-leg pants are essential pieces in the collection. The result is Raw, a trend that combines craftsmanship and new tendencies. The ethnic spirit and references to tribal goddesses come together in Glamazone, with the tunic as key item in this collection. Crossover items and knotted textiles like macramé as well as asymmetric dresses and military Saharan jackets, complete this African inspired trend. Tropical coloring and surf serve as references to create Beach Gang, this season’s sportiest silhouette. Ethnic prints with flowers and tie-dye effects result in an eclectic collection in which bodies, tank tops, dresses and kimonos are the main elements. In the nightwear collection we can find trends inspired by lingerie: ultra-feminine garments and vaporous pieces with extreme lengths and delicate materials like blonda and satin. Powdery tones tint clothing pieces like the sleep dress, an indispensable for this season. The main color palette focuses on toasted colors, crudes and khakis, as well as fabrics’ natural colors, while the door indigo gains importance in all its tones. Denim continues being indispensable, in boyfriend and skinny fittings, adding new finishes like frayed cropped leg-ends, asymmetry and waistband-free designs. Overall, an eclectic and youthful collection marked by dresses and jumpsuits as essential items for the spring-summer 2016 season.
