Romain Lutter wins the 1st place in the race and 3rd in the second race. Dubai, UAE, March 12, 2016: Another weekend filled with race car engines throbbing at Dubai Autodrome on Friday. The leading French duo, Lucco Racing Team, left off the circuit right where they should be - on top of the podium. Romain Lutter started off good setting a time of 1.39.8. He managed to pull a gap until the first ‘çode 60’ which made the others fall behind him. Ollie Smith touched the Lucco Racing Team car on the re-start but they managed to continue unscathed. Lutter overall managed to maintain a 15 seconds margin that led him for the win over Richard Ardolino. The second was a different story. Lutter missed the start and ended up on P5 on the first lap. But, he speed off his way to P4, catching up with the leaders Richard Ardolina, Jani Herpe and Julian Griffin until the pit stop window. Having won the previous race, Lutter received extra 15 seconds additional in his pit stop. He moved up to P2, leaving Griffith taking the first place. At the finish line, the race directors gave Lutter an extra 10 seconds penalty for not respecting his pit stop time as he was 0.3sec short. Lutter finished third in the second race. With so much excitement, Romain Lutter said: “Winning this race, I must say is something that we didn’t expect as we have encountered some challenges during the race. Our technical team who has been very attentive and quick did a good job in helping us get back on the race swiftly. Overall it was a team effort. A big thanks to all!” In the 2015/2016 Series of Radical Middle East Cup under the Supersports Class category, the Lucco Racing Team remains the dominant team besting over 12 cars over the past 8 races. Other drivers to watch out for are Richard Ardolina and Julian Griffin as they have a competitive standing in the races. “There’s only one more round left for this year’s competition and we’re a bit nervous and excited at the same time that we’ve gone this far. We hope we won’t run out of luck until the end,” jokingly said Romain Lutter. The last Radical races is set to take place on 17th to 18th March 2016 at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.
