Organised by Mokha 1450 Specialty Coffee Boutique, and open to anyone capable of brewing a cup of coffee using an AeroPress, water and coffee, the 1st UAE National AeroPress Coffee Championships take place in the Al Fahidi District in Dubai on March 19th at 6pm. The winner will be crowned as the official UAE Aeropress National Champion and be flown, expenses paid, to compete in the World AeroPress Championships in Ireland in June 2016. Co-founder and Managing Director of Mokha 1450, Garfield Kerr says “We are very excited to be organizing the UAE’s First National AeroPress Coffee Competition. Any forum that brings the regions baristas together so they can share knowledge and learn we will continue to support. We will have a number of activities for the competitors and observers to do in this amazing Creekside setting, with Taqado bringing their airstream to feed the masses. All are welcome”.
