For spring/summer ‘16, Paul Smith introduces the Concertina bag. Dubai, UAE, February 9, 2016: Made in Spain using exquisite Italian leather, the Concertina typifies the Paul Smith aesthetic; combining exquisite craftsmanship with distinctive use of color. Available in three styles - a tote, a more classically proportioned handbag and a clutch - the Concertina is crafted from soft, supple leather. The folds of the side panels open to reveal flashes of unexpected and confident color, inspired by the pleats of a bandoneon concertina seen by Paul recently at tango performances. The vibrant colors of the Concertina take influence from the optimistic palette of the spring/summer ’16 Paul Smith women’s catwalk collection. Presented in the esteemed Serpentine Sackler Gallery, the bag was a focal point of the show. A contemporary classic, the Concertina is to be established as a mainstay of the Paul Smith accessories collection. The Paul Smith Concertina will be available from Paul Smith shops and paulsmith.co.uk and selected accessories retailers from February 2016.
