Abu Dhabi, August 23, 2015 - The IDEA Lab at New York University Abu Dhabi invites you to Abu Dhabi’s first-ever AngelHack hackathon competition, to be held at the University’s Saadiyat campus, from September 4th at 9:00 AM until September 5th at 7:00 PM. A public demo of the finalists will take place at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 5th. AngelHack is the world’s largest and most diverse global hacker community, helping to drive open innovation of tech products, platforms and brands with extraordinary smarts, scale, and speed. The global event will bring together developers from around the region to NYUAD for a chance to enter the HACKcelerator Program, a 12-week mentorship program designed to help top teams explore and refine their ideas to help decide if they want to become a start-up. The 24-hour hackathon will promote innovation and entrepreneurship by igniting the passion of UAE’s most vibrant community of coders, developers, designers, and students to create start-up’s. AngelHack is sponsored by the IDEA Lab, an Innovation and Entrepreneurship program at NYUAD, and the NYUAD Institute. The event is open to the public and all interested UAE university students. Participants will receive a rare opportunity to be mentored by experienced developers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders, venture capitalists, and academicians.
