Delhi Private School-Sharjah , well known Eco School , holding Green Flag status , won Sharjah Sustainability Award again this year , this time in the category of “Outstanding Students Team”. On 29th April 2015, under the Environmental Expertise and guidance of the highly experienced Project Supervisor Ms. Anjum Hasan who is a Senior Biology Teacher at Delhi Private School, Sharjah, a team of 6 students through hard work, effective team work and determination, won the “Outstanding Students Team Award” securing the winning prize for their project, the ‘Advanced Surveillance System’ at the awards ceremony in Sharjah Cultural Palace. The project aimed at introducing a new, immensely efficient security system for protected wildlife areas, thus providing a solution to eliminate the loopholes in the existing protection systems for protected wildlife areas so as to reduce the high levels of poaching, which poses one of the biggest threats to wildlife. The students and their mentor showed great team spirit and proved their talents and capabilities by winning this prestigious and valuable award. School Principal Mrs.Vandana Marwaha expressed her heartiest congratulations to the team especially the mentor, Ms.Hasan on supervising all the 3 Projects and winning the 3rd Cycle in row, since the inception of this award in 2012.
