Abu Dhabi, UAE (April 25, 2015) – New Era, the international lifestyle brand with an authentic sports heritage opens its first standalone retail store in Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi, this May. As part of the store opening, New Era will be launching a limited run of Star Wars products, being released globally on Monday May 4th, in celebration of Annual Star Wars Day. The collection includes 4 highly collectable designs, with only 4 pieces available per design in the Middle East, priced at AED 275 for Stormtrooper and Darth Vader, while the Star Wars script caps are priced at AED 245. Laurent Leclerc, Southern EMEA Business Development Director, said: “We are delighted to be expanding the New Era brand in the Middle East by opening our first store in Abu Dhabi. The retail market in the Middle East has grown a huge amount over the past decade and we’re excited to unveil a brand new design concept to give consumers the very best brand experience in store.” The store is the first of its kind in the EMEA region, as well as being one of the first globally to play host to a brand new retail concept design developed by New Era, which will be rolled out in all New Era stores from 2015 onwards. Opening on May 2nd, the store will carrying every global license from New Era across caps, accessories and apparel – as well as receiving exclusive lines and limited edition collections.
